Does anyone know where I can get an air ambulance, at a discounted rate?

Marty asked:

I am trying to fly my beloved Aunt Dede down from Pennsylvania to North Carolina. She has Muscular Dystrophy and has suffered from severe malnutrition which has advanced her condition. She is in a nursing home presently and we want to care for her here in our home. I don’t know if she can fly on a ‘regular’ flight, perhaps she could if she could fly First Class. It was recommended that she take a flight with medical support, just to be safe.

Any information/advice would be a big blessing.
Thank you!!!

my uncle had to fly an air ambulance from london to los angeles for almost $100,000. Since you do not have to travel the same distance, it is probably significantly cheaper.

I’ve listed some online services below.

In Pennsylvania (especialy western) STAT MedEvac is a very large company with helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. I have flown with them once as a student, but I don’t work for them so I know nothing about prices. Their website is. Click “About STAT” on the left and then select “Contact STAT.” Give them a call.

Another aero medical service is LifeFlight, part of Allegheny General Hospital. They only opperate within a 130 mile radius of pittsburgh and seem to be emergency only, but you may want to give them a call anyway if you live in western PA. Website is.
